For wrap types, measure the area of the pillar you are covering, and cut the vinyl slightly larger than the pillar size to ensure full coverage. For wrap types, use the sharp knife to trim any excess vinyl carefully, ensuring a perfect fit around the pillar. Whether you choose precut or wrap, the first step is to thoroughly clean the surface of the pillar posts using a mild detergent and water to remove any dirt or grease. If the vinyl is designed for a 2017 Nissan Altima, it will often align naturally with the specific features of the pillars. Allow the vinyl to cool and set for a few hours, following any specific guidelines that come with the product you're using. Regular inspection of the installation, especially in the first few days, will ensure that the vinyl is adhering correctly to your 2017 Nissan Altima. The choice between precut and wrap can depend on your confidence in cutting and shaping the vinyl, with precut often being a more accessible option for specific vehicles like 2017 Nissan Altima.

Two of my main pieces were just over 1/8" short so now I have a noticeable gap. It's critical to buy rapid tac to spray on the vinyl piece and the panel so you can move and position the piece around. If not, you will NOT be able to fit it. The glue stick dries up quickly and is not worth the money since it dried up before I finished all the pieces. I paid the extra $10 for the lifetime warranty but not sure if I even needed that considering the vinyl is thin and didn't look like "lifetime quality" material.
