Audi Smoked Tail Light Tints

Audi is renowned the world over for quality, luxury and performance. So, whether you have the latest model R8, sporty TT convertible or the sophisticated and refined Q7 you'll only trust the best when it comes to modifying and customizing your ride with tail light covers.

But, why choose an Audi Rtint® taillight tint when you can have a shop do it for you? It's simple really: if you don't mind shelling out two to three times as much to have your tail lights smoked out then go ahead. But, if you're into saving time and money then you'll want to pick up a pair of pre cut taillight tints from us today.

Better than Dips or Sprays

Dipping and spray tinting your lights are all the rage these days and, if you want Plasti-Dip or VHT Nite-Shades we've got them too but we'll be the first to tell  you that you're better off with vinyl tint film. Why? Well, there are two reasons really and we'll break it down for you quickly.

Plasti-Dip is a great looking product that will give you as dark or as light of a matte, smoked look as you want depending on how many coats you spray on. But, even if you get it right and it comes out even with multiple coats there's still the question of durability. Because of the rubber-like nature of dip you can easily peel it away from the surface of the light which is great for preserving resale value but kind of a bummer if you've spent the time to get them looking just right.

VHT Nite-Shades in red or smoke present you with the opposite problem. If you can get the spray on evenly (which is no easy task) you had better make sure you like it because once it's on it's not coming off. So many people have completely ruined their stock lights so, unless you're a pro then we really don't recommend using VHT for your lights.

Vinyl Tint Films — the Smart Choice

Rtint® tail light tints for your Audi give you the best of both worlds: they're semi-permanent so they can be removed by scratching them with your finger nail but can be taken off without causing damage just by using a little soap and water, alcohol and heat. Best of all, they're precut so they go on with a minimum of trimming and stretching and they have a uniform look. No worries that certain areas will be darker or lighter than others. Finally, when you choose our Audi taillight tint film you get the largest selection of tint shades and colors anywhere. Our top five most popular films are as follows:

  1. Smoke — Gives you 38% light transmission, has a high-gloss finish and is by far a customer favorite.
  2. Blackout —  It does what it says so be sure that you're only using these on show cars.
  3. Red Smoke — If you want to red out your tails this is the tint you need.
  4. Matte Smoke — If you wanted the look of dip but the performance of vinyl then this film is for you.
  5. Chameleon — There's nothing cooler than the look of shade shifter tint.

I think it looks good. The blackout is dark and the reverse lights were cut by hand.

Over all the product is great. Installation is more difficult than perceived. The specific cuts barely fit my taillights. A lot of heat and stretching was involved
