The Honda CR-V is manufactured by Honda and uses the Honda Civic platform with the look of an SUV. The compact crossover SUV was first introduced in Japan in 1995 and went on sale in 1997 in the United States. CR-V stands for "Comfortable Runabout Vehicle" and has been marketed in China as the Honda Breeze.

The fourth generation of Honda CR-V was introduced in 2011 at the Orange County International Auto Show and went on sale later that year.
