If done correctly, the vinyl pillar trim can last for years, providing both aesthetic appeal and protection to the pillar posts. The process begins by carefully selecting the appropriate vinyl pillar trim that matches the size and shape of the pillar posts on your vehicle. Testing a small area with the vinyl you intend to use can give you a feel for how it will adhere and conform to the pillars of your Buick Envision. Once installed, apply gentle heat to the entire area to help the adhesive bond with the pillar's surface. Allow the vinyl to cool and set for a few hours, following any specific guidelines that come with the product you're using. Applying gentle heat with a heat gun can make the vinyl more pliable and easier to work with, especially if your vehicle is a Buick Envision with unique pillar shapes. Continue to smooth the vinyl, paying close attention to the edges and any contours specific to your vehicle's pillars.

Vinyl arrived fast, instructions were clear and installation was simple. Car looks great now.
Unfortunately, I ruined one piece before I found one of the installation methods that worked for me. The second piece went on great. Unfortunately again, I ran out of the 3M primer. I will try again after I order some more primer and replace the ruined piece. I have high hopes it will go well the second time around.
