I ordered vinyl for a chrome delete on the door handles and window trim on my Maxima. I was concerned at first about finding the right color because my car is an uncommon color (Crimson Black), but I ordered a roll of the Ember Black 3M Vinyl and it came out great! The color isn't an exact match as expected, but it blends in with the paint seamlessly. The vinyl shines just like the car paint, sometimes even moreso with its metallic specs. I was even able to use it to cover up some unsightly paint chips on my previously repainted bumper.
The vinyl itself was an easy install. I wrapped the door handles and the bottom window trim. The window trim took a little practice (there's a rubber finisher that's difficult to cut & tuck on) but that was more of a learning curve on my part. The door handles surprisingly weren't too difficult. Heat definitely helped (especially on the two corners), but even without it, the vinyl was forgiving and conformed to the curved shape of the handles. I can't attest to wrapping full panels, but for small projects like mine, this worked perfectly. I got a 6'x1' roll, had to redo 2 window trims, and I still have over half of it left for future projects. The wrap just survived 2 hand wash with no signs of peeling. I threw on a ceramic spray coat on the vinyl just for added protection/seal up some of the pores for a smoother feel.
The plastic skin it comes with for protection was an added bonus. Customer service was very responsive, human, and patient with my many questions. Overall, for a first-time wrapper, I was very pleased with the turnout.
