I would like to wrap the front half of the back fenders on my Ford F-350 dually. It is a 2011 with the rounded fenders. How well will your product wrap this curved fender?

Great question, this films are designed for full vehicle wraps so a bumper will not be a problem. That being said, it is more difficult to wrap a bumper than a hood or a roof, but adhesion will not be an issue. We also offer adhesion promoters that may help with trouble areas. You may see what we offer here: Wrap Adhesion Promoters Good luck with your F-350 wrap!

I’m sure someone has asked this already, but do you know what color matches Fords White Platinum Tricoat? I have a 2019 f250 and I want to wrap the chrome on my bumpers. Thanks
October 11, 2023 6:06 AM
Ford's White Platinum Tricoat is a premium paint color, and finding an exact match for it in a vinyl wrap or other aftermarket automotive products can be challenging. Paint colors can vary slightly between manufacturers, and tricoat finishes can be especially complex to replicate. To find the closest color match for your vehicle's White Platinum Tricoat, it's a good idea to buy color samples or swatches from to compare them to your vehicle's paint color in person. This can help you make a more informed decision about which wrap color closely matches your Ford's White Platinum Tricoat. Keep in mind that even if you find a wrap that is a close match, there may still be slight differences in color and finish due to the inherent differences between paint and vinyl wrap materials.

I have a 2024 Chevy Silverado rst and im looking to just black out the 2 grill spots that are not black and the bottom part of the bumper how much do I need ? Thank you
February 9, 2024 2:19 PM

For vinyl wrapping the two grille spots and the bottom part of the bumper on your 2024 Chevy Silverado RST, here's how you can estimate the amount of vinyl wrap you'll need:

1. Measure the Areas:

Grille Spots: Measure the height and width of each grille spot you want to black out. Since there are two spots, you'll need to measure both unless they're identical in size.

Bottom Part of the Bumper: Measure the height and width of the bottom part of the bumper you wish to black out.

2. Calculate the Square Footage:

For each area (each grille spot and the bottom bumper), calculate the square footage by multiplying the height by the width (in feet). If you measure in inches, convert to feet first (1 inch = 0.0833 feet).

Add up the square footage for all areas to get the total square footage needed.

3. Add Extra for Margin:

It's wise to add an extra margin to account for mistakes, trimming, and complex curves that may require more material. A good rule of thumb is to add 10-20% more material than the calculated area.

Example Calculation:

Assuming each grille spot measures 2 feet in width and 1 foot in height, and the bottom part of the bumper measures 5 feet in width and 1 foot in height:

Grille Spots: 2 spots * (2 feet width * 1 foot height) = 4 square feet

Bottom Bumper: 5 feet width * 1 foot height = 5 square feet

Total without margin: 4 + 5 = 9 square feet

With a 20% margin: 9 square feet * 1.2 = 10.8 square feet

Recommendation:

You should aim to purchase at least 11 square feet of vinyl wrap to cover the two grille spots and the bottom part of your bumper, considering a margin for error. However, the exact amount can vary based on the actual measurements and the vinyl's width. Vinyl wrap typically comes in rolls with a standard width of 60 inches (5 feet), so you would need to purchase vinyl by the length that covers your total square footage.

Before purchasing, double-check your measurements and consult with a professional or a supplier if you're unsure. They can provide advice based on the specific details of your vehicle and the project at hand.
