Nissan has been at the forefront of automotive design and engineering for decades and has proven itself to be ready and willing to do what it takes to stay at the top. Whether it is the impressively agile, incredibly powerful GT-R, the quirky Juke or its rough and ready Xterra, Nissan delivers results and style with everything that it creates. But, what i the secret to Nissan's success? Clearly performance plays a part but if it were all that mattered people would simply strap V8 engines to their mopeds and have at it. No, when people are buying a car, truck or SUV they want they complete package and that means they have to like the way it looks and feels. Obviously this falls to Nissan's design team and especially to those in charge of designing the interior trim and spaces of Nissan vehicles.
According to Nissan's chief of design Shiro Nakamura when designing and re-designing the interiors of their vehicles it is paramount that the team takes into consideration the coming technological changes that are just over the horizon. Obviously this means designing cabins and interiors with view to smartphone connectivity but especially with a view to technologies like Android Auto and Apple's CarPlay. These new advances in tech are really driving the way Nissan will conceive and execute interior trim and instrumentation design as well as they way they will configure the cockpits of their vehicles for some time to come. Nakamura states that these things are "really changing the interior. For exterior design, not much has changed. If you look at the last 50 years, exterior design is very small changes. Maybe headlamps are now LED, used to be a bulb. In the interior, so much has changed. Lots of new functions."
With Nissan's eye on the prize and one foot firmly planted in the future we can expect to see a lot more technology embedded in the dashboard. But, Nakamura makes an interesting and convincing point when it comes to which technologies should be used in the dash trim and to what extent. We have seen other car manufacturers go completely gaga over the use of touch screens and some, such as the Lincoln Motor Company, have incorporated touchscreens in virtually every area where there were once analog knobs, dials and gauges. The disadvantage to this is, as Nissan's chief designer points out, that "a touch screen is not always the best solution for the car...You have to look at it. In a car you cannot look at it like this. You have to drive!" In one, fell swoop Nakamura has cemented Nissan's place as a car designer with a view to making vehicles that are as exciting to drive as they are beautiful to behold.
In addition to these important technologies, voice recognition and autonomous driving capabilities are two other major shifts in the development and production of passenger cars in the years to come. Only time will tell but Nakamura insists that we're on the verge of a tectonic shift in interior trim design which will only accelerate as voice and autonomous control tech gets better and cheaper.
Benevento dash kits are the most premium line of interior trim we offer. Made by an all-American company right here in Brooklyn with over thirty years' experience in the field, Benevento was the first to pioneer the use of real wood dash kits and offer genuine carbon fiber an interior trim option. Made with CAD technology and laser cut for smooth, clean lines these kits are then hand domed with polyurethane for a glossy, lacquered finish that oozes luxury. And, because Benevento specializes in producing quality dash kits that will last the life of your Nissan, they use the industry's best VHB foam tape for a stick that just won't quit. Just clean and prepare your dash according to the instructions, remove the red liner and apply.
Automaxus dash kits are made to the same exacting standards as Benevento dash trim kits but are offered in a wider variety of possible patterns, colors and finishes. They apply using the same VHB trim tape and give you the look and style you want but, because they lack the polyurethane doming of Benevento kits, they are offered at a lower price. In addition to being more affordable, the fat that they do not have a thick layer of polyurethane means they are both lower profile and that the give you the chance to have that subdued European look of satin finished wood trims.
Rdash® trim kits offer you the most options in terms of coverage, colors and the lowest prices as well. Made from ultra thin materials they give you the look of paint or hydrographics when installed and have more pieces per kit then any other dash kit manufacturer. And, because Rvinyl dash kits are eligible for Rvinyl's instant cash back rebate program, when you install the kit and send us photos you could get a refund of up to $20 on your Nissan dash kit. Who doesn't wait to customize their interior and get money back for sharing their results?

Have not installed yet but will send pics afterward. Product looks great and came at the best price around
Upgrades my vehicle quite nicely. Everyone says it looks like it is much more valuable than it really is. I love the burl wood look it rivals any luxury brand out there.
